The #investitureceremony for the #academic session 2023-24 was held at #MaaAnandamayiMemorialSchool, Gohri Mafi, #Raiwala on 28th April 2023. The ceremony signified the reliance and confidence that the school consigned in the newly invested office bearers.
The #event was presided over by the Chief Guest, Mr. Philip Burett It was conducted with a high degree of zeal, zest, and enthusiasm.
The #students, #teachers, and invited dignitaries were introduced to the ceremony by Prerna from class X along with a warm welcome of the honorary guest. Mr. Burrett has been a former Deputy Headmaster at The Doon School and is now an advisor to the Gyananda School for Girls, Dehradun.
The ceremony commenced with the #lighting of the #diyaas (Ceremonial lamps) by the honorable chief guest, Director Sir, and the Principal of the school, Dr. Seema Bhusan. An #Indianclassical group #song (#raagBahaar) was presented by a choir of school students from various grades. The elected Leaders’ profiles were read out to the audience. They were conferred with badges and sashes by Honourable Chief Guest Mr. Philip Burrett, School Director: Mr. Arpit Panjwani, and the school principal: Dr. Seema Bhusan.
The students’ council took the pledge to hold the school #motto of #Educate, #Enlighten, #Enrich, and #Empower in high esteem. Mr. Philip Burrett congratulated them and advised them to be impartial and honest in discharging their duties. In his words, ” #Leadershipquality entails working together for a greater cause than self-interests. With power comes the #responsibility that must be upheld in the righteous and the earnest manner”. The school director, Mr. Aprit Panjwani delivered the vote of thanks on behalf of the school fraternity, followed by a group photo session with the newly elected office bearers.
