Dance Drama Competition

An Inter-school Dance Drama Competition was organized at Maa Anandamayee Memorial School on Saturday, April 29th, 2023. The theme of the competition was “Women Empowerment. 16 schools from Rishikesh, Dehradun and Haridwar participated enthusiastically in it. The competition was held in 2 groups: junior and senior categories. Dr. Om Manori (Theatre Artist), Ms Ayushi, Ms Pooja Dangwal (Prabhakar and Virashad trainer) and Ms Chaity Chatterjee (Bharatanatyam Teacher) were the esteemed judges for the event. The program was inaugurated with the welcome of the judges and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the School Director Mr. Arpit Panjwani and Trustee Nikita Panjwani. MAMS Principal Dr. Seema Bhushan thanked the guests for gracing the occasion by presenting them mementoes as a token of gratitude. Participants from all 16 schools displayed their skills by presenting spellbinding group dance dramas in both categories & mesmerized everyone by their presentations.”
“Women Empowerment” was depicted in more than one way through performances by different schools. At the end of the program, one of the judge Dr. Om Manori shared his words of wisdom and spoke about women equality and the selfless contributions of women to the evolution of society since time immemorial.
The director of the school Mr. Arpit Panjwani praised the level of performances and efforts by the children and inspired them to practice gender equality and stand up for their rights in the true sense of the term.
Finally, while dance and drama were the ultimate winners, it was time to reward winners that enthralled the audience to no measure.
In the junior category Graphic Era Global School secured the 1st Position, Rishikesh Public School got the second and AND Public School was awarded the third position. In the senior category, Unison World School secured the first position, host MAMS was placed second and Doon International Public School was adjudged third respectively. All in all it was an extremely successful event that concluded with a vote of thanks to all participants and schools for their support and keen participation.
