Impact of experiential learning
The Doon School in collaboration with ThinkTac organised a Teacher’s workshop on Experiential Learning on 30 January 2023. Working with CV Raman trust, ThincTac endeavours to execute the Raman club ecosystem in schools.
A number of Primary & Secondary School Teachers from Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh attended the workshop. MAMS was represented by the Science and ATL faculty to learn more about experiential learning and the development of scientific literacy as part of the school system.
The workshop aimed at skills enhancement and high engagement of #students in classrooms. Implementing the NEP into our school curriculum was the whole idea of the entire workshop. Hands-on, tactile activities using simple repurposed material is an example of experiential learning inside the classroom.
It was a lovely experience for our faculty members to be a part of the program and learn innovative ways of teaching using simple toys leading to innovation and critical thinking. All in all, it was a great day spent learning new ideas with self-experimentation.
We thank The Doon School and ThinkTac for organising such an engaging and fruitful workshop and inviting our teachers as well. MAMS is committed to the professional development of faculty members and to implementing all recommendations/guidelines of the new education policy to enhance learning outcomes and experiences.
