Republic Day is celebrated every year on 26th January to commemorate the date and moment, when the constitution of INDIA came into effect. With the same cause, the 74th Republic day celebrations commenced in school premises today, with the warm welcome of Chief Guest Mr. Prateek Yadav who is currently ranked No. 1 in India in Memory Sports and also holds 18 national and 3 world records for the same. He became the Asia Memory Champion in 2018 and is also a TEDx speaker. The Chief Guest along with our school Principal Mr. Sharad Agarwal and Vice Principal Ms. Shweta Kochar offered floral garland to the image of Goddess Saraswati as we #celebrate Basant Panchami also on the same day today. It was followed by Saraswati Vandana by school students. As soon as the dignitaries unfurled the national flag, the patriotic and enthusiastic #MAMS family comprising staff and students of both junior wing as well as senior wing sang the National Anthem. The entire school campus turned reverberated with the cultural performances and speeches presented by the students. The patriotic aura of the day was duly sustained by the inspirational and #motivational speech by the Chief Guest. He also shared his life achievements with all students, gave them tips to strenthen their memory and demonstrated his marvellous memory power by memorising 124 numbers within seconds. It was indeed tooth biting for all. The Inter-House Patriotic Song Competition added charm to the day as the participants from four houses got an opportunity to exhibit their poetic skills with great zeal and enthusiasm. The judges including our Chief Guest, Vice Principal and Headmistress Ms. Sutopa Bose appreciated the participants on their choice of songs and the rendition. The celebrations were concluded with the #announcement of winners and a heartfelt vote of thanks given by the Vice Principal. The students had an exciting time thereafter by flying colorful kites in the school ground.
