Kite making and flying is an age old tradition in India. So much so that there is a kite festival celebrated throughout the country around Makar Sankranti and Basant Panchami. The kite festival marks the advent of the spring season.
We want our children to know about the rich cultural heritage of our country. MAMS organized a kite making and kite flying activity today for its junior students. The students participated in the activity with full zeal and fervor. It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to showcase their creativity, manifested in the form of beautiful, vibrant kites made by them. The students took a new flight, as one could see kites in various hues and shapes dotting the sky. The aim of conducting this activity was not only to promote creativity among the students but also to enlighten them about the cultural richness of our nation. The teachers and other staff members also joined the students as a part of the celebrations which created a mood of festivity.
Ms. Nikita Panjwani, honorable member of the Management Committee, appreciated the efforts of the students. The school has always encouraged children to be a part of the rich traditional Indian festivals.
