On August 5, 2023, an exhilarating Inter-School Instrumental Music Competition was organized in Maa Anandmayee Memorial School, Raiwala, with a theme of 75 Years of Swarn Mahotsava, commemorating the nation’s progress and achievements over the years. The event aimed to showcase the musical talent of young musicians from various schools and promote cultural harmony through the language of music. Renowned musicians and scholars, Prof. Shrawan K. Sharma and Mr. Ashish Kukreti, were invited as esteemed jury members to evaluate the performances.
The theme for the performances was inspired by the rich heritage and milestones of India’s glorious journey over the past 75 years, encapsulating the essence of Swarn Bharat. Participants showcased their skills in a wide range of instruments. Their performances were evaluated based on melody, rhythm & tempo, synchronization & coordination, props & overall stage presentation and adherence to the theme. The competition witnessed spellbinding renditions of traditional ragas and fusion compositions, reflecting the participants’ artistic prowess.
The competition culminated with the announcement of the winners. The first prize was awarded to “Hopeway Public School” which beautifully amalgamated classical and contemporary elements, celebrating the essence of Swarn Bharat. The second and third prizes were awarded to “Doon International Public School” and “The Heritage School” respectively, both displaying outstanding musicianship and innovation.
