Founded in memory of Divine Maa by her followers, Maa Anandmayee Memorial School (MAMS) is a co-educational K12 school that saw a humble beginning in 1985 as a non-profit institution. In the years to come, it flourished into a full-fledged senior secondary school with the blessings of the Divine Mother who often retired here in the village of Gohri Mafi to rejuvenate after her hectic spiritual regimen. She had once remarked that the place would become valuable one day, and what cause can be more valuable and noble than imparting knowledge?

Maa is the embodiment, in human form, of the ideal relationship between man and God. She has been hailed as the Divine incarnate and the epitome of divine love, bliss, compassion, and truth that spontaneously radiated from her person. Maa’s very presence cut through the evil of darkness and brought about salvation for aspiring souls, irrespective of caste, creed, or religion. Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Smt. Indira Gandhi, and Gulzari Lal Nanda are a few of Maa’s devotees. Maa had numerous devotees, not only in India but also in France, Germany, England, and America. Her spiritual legacy continues to inspire people to strive for moral recovery and the restoration of civilized behavior, which India was once proud of and, in turn, attracted the world to its spiritual treasure.
