Kargil Vijay Diwas is symbol of fearless determination & exceptional valour of our Armed Forces. We salute the soldiers who fought the enemy and laid down their lives to defend the nation. The nation is forever grateful to them and their families for the exceptional display of courage and valour in Kargil.
Today MAMS celebrated ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’ to remember India’s war victory and to pay tribute to Kargil Martys, who are the symbol of courage and sacrifice for safeguarding the borders of the country.
A special program was conducted to honour them. The program started with screening of a documentary on the Kargil War. The children beacme aware of the hardships our soldiers had to face during the war. They came to know of the valour of our soldiers and how they marched forward without caring for their lves. Our cheif guest Mr. Harshmani Sngh Lasyal, who was serving the Indian Army at the time of Kargil war, shared his memories of the war with the students. He explained how tough the time was for him and his fellow soldiers. He also shared how they overcame all obstacles and gained gained great victory in the Kargl War. Among our guests we also had virangana Ms. Jashoda Kaitura, widow of martyr L/Nk Murari Singh, Garhwal Rifles and virangana Ms. Yasoda Devi, widow of martyr Nk Dinesh Chandra, Jat Regiment. Our students presented speeches on the Kargil Vijay diwas, patriotic songs, and dance. Our kindergarteners presented patriotic poems which filled the entire atmosphere with patriotism. Our Headmistress said that no sacrifice can be greater than the one demonstrated by our armed forces. It is because of their unconditional service that we are able to live a secure life. She praised the students for their wonderful performances and thanked Mr. Harshmani Singh Lasyal for sharing his experiences with us. She also thanked the other guests and the parents for being a part of the celebration.”
