Sow an act, and you reap a habit, Sow a habit and you reap a character, Sow a character and you reap a destiny” – Charles Reade

Education is the foundation of a civilized society. Each aspect of school life provides an avenue for the learners to grow to their full potential, achieve self actualization and develop competencies to face the challenges of today’s world with élan.

Attitude and habits are formed very early in one’s life. What children learn in their impressionable childhood years stays with them throughout their lives. And, children as we all know constitute the future of a Nation. The educational journey at MAMS goes well beyond imparting knowledge. Through carefully planned, inter-disciplinary scholastic and co-scholastic programmes, we endeavour to equip our learners with necessary life skills and values that help them to face the vagaries of life in a confident & courageous manner. A strong requirement today is to simultaneously weave a firm moral fibre in the students’ personality. The key to this goal is to pursue a value based education process. The practice of value oriented process acts as a nucleus around which all our school activities revolve. We are very conscious of the fact that emotional and moral stability plays a very significant role in the healthy growth of a child.

One of the important tools to achieve this is through forthright interaction and one to one rapport with our children. This open and interactive approach also helps in discovering and strengthening inherent talent in the students. All our school activities are based on a participatory spirit that reduces the inhibition levels of the students and thus assists the students in becoming aware of their potential. The school atmosphere evokes a team spirit amongst the students and teachers with a conviction that ‘We can do it’.

Academic pre-eminence in today’s educational scenario continues to be an important yardstick of the school’s superlative performance, though no longer the only one. To accomplish academic goals, Monday tests, teach – next classes involving audio visual aids, remedial classes for board students, extra classes during summer and winter break are considered as rituals at MAMS.

“Everyone has inside him a piece of good news. The good news is that you don’t know that how great you can be… What you can accomplish! And what your potential is!” – Anne Frank

The school looks at each learner as a unique ‘whole person’ with inherent genius, special capabilities and unlimited potential. By providing a conducive and encouraging environment, the learners are mentored to participate in a variety of intra and inter school ctivities/competitions. These help them not only to showcase their talents, hone their skills but these also entail opportunities that lead to multi-dimensional growth of their physical, social, intellectual and spiritual well being. To name a few, we have salad decoration, essay writing, young mathematician competition and events like teachers’ day, independence day, investiture ceremony, display board competition as part of the in-house activities. Moreover our students also willingly take part in events like inter-school creative writing, debates, extempore, elocutions and science exhibitions conducted at various schools.

“Sports teaches us to how to lose, but it also teaches us how not to be a loser.” — Anonymous

The domain of sports has the vast potential to “better” the game of life itself. Besides promoting physical fitness, it lays importance on healthy lifestyle and helps in developing social skills. Sports play a pivotal role in instilling among our impressionable learners values such as, discipline, perseverance, team spirit, and sportsmanship that would hold them in good stead throughout their lives.

Undoubtedly then, Sports is an integral part of the life of each student. At school, each learner is expected to play at least two games; and also achieve the minimum Physical Fitness programme that has been formulated for the learners. Besides, a comprehensive record of Medical and Fitness status of each student is regularly maintained and communicated to the parents. It is hoped that these efforts would motivate our students to maintain healthy life style throughout. The success of our students in Sports bears testimony to the school’s endeavours in encouraging sporting talent as well as our students’ indomitable will and skill to win.

“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” ― Mahatma Gandhi

Time to time our students take initiative under the International Award for Young People (IAYP) to undertake voluntary social service. They often visit the nearby Govt. School to teach students of that school. Moreover to further extend our hands in social causes our students organize cleanliness drives and rallies in support of noble causes like “say no to tobacco” and “save the girl child” etc.

“Plan for the future because that is where you are going to spend the rest of your life.” – Mark Twain

Workshops provide exceptional learning opportunities. Using the interactive format, they help the learners to explore topics ranging from personal enrichment, life transition to gaining practical skills. Taking learning beyond the bounds of curriculum, workshops also help the students to know about the varied educational / career opportunities available to them. So, while enriching the learning experience, workshops also empower students to make informed decisions regarding their future.

“If we teach today, as we taught yesterday, we rob our children of tomorrow.” — John Dewey

Teaching is an ongoing learning process. The critical role that teachers play in the future of the Nation and in the lives of their learners can be determined from these words of Alexander the Great, “I am indebted to my father for living, but to my teacher for living well.” Educators, therefore, need to be well informed and inspired to facilitate learning and mentor students effectively to face the real life challenges of tomorrow.

The school facilitates the participation of teaching faculty in a wide range of workshops/seminars/in-service training programmes to enhance the knowledge of their subject and keep them abreast with changing paradigms in education.

“One must learn by doing the thing; though you think you know it, you have no certainty until you try.” — Sophocles

The joys and benefits of experiential learning can never be overlooked. The school has a wide range of clubs that promote learning by combining recreational and educational factors. Representing interdisciplinary approaches to learning, the carefully selected activities of the clubs, focus on the entire gamut of development of learners in a cohesive manner. Every space inside and outside the school, then, becomes a platform where multifold learning experiences can be garnered to support learning in all directions.

As the motto of the school “Educate-Enlighten-Enrich-Empower” – E4 suggests, our priority is to provide conditions for the forging of character with leadership qualities. Our nation’s future depends on good leaders, leaders who have strength of conviction and breadth of vision, leaders in all aspects of life. Mere focus on career goals, where the self is put before everything else, can only be a very limiting goal. We need people who will rise above narrow mindedness and expand the ambits of their personalities to become effective leaders. Our endeavour is to shape such leaders of tomorrow, leaders who are capable, talented, confident but also humane, sensitive and imaginative. True education seeks to make men and women not only good mathematicians, proficient linguists, path-breaking scientists or brilliant literary lights, but also honest individuals with virtue, temperance and kindness. It seeks to make men and women prize truth, justice, wisdom, benevolence and self-control as the choicest acquisitions of a successful life. We aim to nurture a student community that can contribute to nation building and social service.
