The school assists students in deciding future course of their careers by providing professional career counseling and help, as far as possible, in securing admission to institutions of choice. The School has a Counseling Cell, which organizes and supervises counseling for students to prepare them for life after school. The aim of the Counseling department is to empower the students to make informed choices for subjects and careers, after identifying and recognizing their personal aptitudes, interests and abilities. The Counseling Department organizes seminars and training modules to prepare the students with skills and attitudes necessary for academic and professional life.
The School’s careers programme is based on the principles of self-development, career exploration and career management.
COUNSELLING ACTIVITIES ENCOMPASS THE FOLLOWING:
• Helping students to identify their areas of interest and aptitude through an Aptitude-Interest- Personality test for students with a detailed report and follow-up individual counseling.
• Specific information and guidance to students and parents relating to subject choices, Higher Education choices, and to advise and expose them to possible career paths.
• Training and practice as appropriate in the form of supervised CV writing, SOP and Personal Essay writing, Interview Training etc.
• Guiding students about application processes in India and abroad.
• Advice and assistance to students on all Careers and Higher
• Education related matters by organizing workshops, seminars, career talks and visits to career fairs.
• Providing updated information about various institutions, courses and careers.
• Information and guidance relating to scholarships and bursaries available at universities.
• Giving sustained support in the admission process that includes collating and dispatching transcripts, writing out recommendation letters, predicted grades and school profiles and helping with the Personal Statements to be submitted.
